The boat spent the 2013-2014 winter indoors on
Lake Michigan, in a heated shed. We spent our first season getting
to know our hosting lake.
We moved aboard in Holland, Michigan (shown in the southeast corner
of the lake). Our first trip took us south to Saugatuck, and then we
ventured southwest to Chicago.
After that, we made our way north along the coast of Wisconsin, and
crossed back to Michigan at Ludington just in time for Independence
Day festivities.
We continued northward along Michigan's western coast, and left the
boat for the season at Charlevoix, where Northern Exposure would
spend the next two winters.
We didn't need to make definite plans for our first season, and we wanted to keep it flexible. When we started our powerboating adventure, this is all we had set up.
