It's time to leave Scandinavia, though there's plenty we won't get to see in the area. Summer is short, and it isn't always warm. It will be hard to say goodbye, but boats are meant for moving, and we're moving on.
In 2010, we'll travel across the United Kingdom and end up at season's end on the southern coast of England.
The trip begins near the Hallberg-Rassy boatyard, and we cross the Skagerrak to the southeast coast of Norway. We travel around the coast until we're on the southwest side, find the right spot and the right weather, and cross overnight to the Shetland Islands of Scotland.
The rest of the summer is a coastal amble across the Caledonia Canal and down the eastern coast of Northern Ireland and Ireland. By late summer, we'll work our way to the south coast of England, and leave the boat for the winter in the coastal town of Lymington.
