In the 2008 season, we plan to spend most of the time covering the coast of Norway. After a rather early start (we expect mid-May), we'll leave the west coast of Sweden and cross to Norway, making landfall in the southeast corner at Kristiansand.
Though we never make any absolute commitments about how far we'll go, we both hope that this season we'll get as far as Bodø, which is above the Arctic Circle. Then we'll work our way back to Sweden, possibly taking the long route all the way up to Oslo along the coast. All of this depends on time and weather.

We're registered with Pangolin marine software. They're tracking our location whenever we send it in to them (something that we do more often than web updates.) This means that you can see a fairly recent report of our position, plotted on a satellite map. Click here to take a look (it will open in a new window.) Please note, though, that if we don't report in as often as you hope, it doesn't mean we're in trouble. It probably just means that we haven't sorted out Internet service yet, wherever we are.
As always, our itinerary is very flexible. It depends on weather conditions, the state of the boat (we don't leave when our navigational or safety equipment needs repair or replacement,) and what we learn from people we meet (the technical term for that is "local knowledge.")
